Michael Valinsky is a writer, UX writer, and critic from Paris and New York with over 10 years of experience working across a wide range of industries. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies and startups to ideate, design, produce, and manage digital content. Clients include but are not limited to Air France, Estée Lauder, eBay, FOX, Artsy, GOAT, and more.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Poetics and Praxis at New York University and his Master of Science in Gender, Media, and Culture at the London School of Economics. His academic work has focused on reader reception, critical and queer theory, namely what language does to readers, how readers cognitively interact with text, and how to create inclusive and accessible environments organized around a concise and impactful word economy.
His work has been published in the Los Angeles Reviews of Books, Hyperallergic, Paper Magazine, i-D Magazine, them, OUT Magazine, BOMB Magazine, NewNowNext, The Brooklyn Rail, Lambda Literary, Kirkus Reviews, Artsy, Surface Magazine, eBay, and The WILD Magazine.
